There's nothing quite like a good experiment.
Yesterday while my wife was powering through season one of Friday Night Lights and all of DC was glued to the TV watching Washington and RGIII lose to Seattle, I was in the kitchen mixing up bourbon, vodka and rum infusions.* Yeah I know, I lose some kind of card for not watching the game but I haven't really been into football for over a decade.
Anyway, from left to right...
- Apple Pie Bourbon - Bourbon, Granny Smith Apples, Cinnamon Stick, Vanilla Bean
- Earl Grey Liqueur - Vodka, Earl Grey Tea, Lemon Zest, Honet
- Pineapple Rum - White Rum, Pineapple, Cinnamon Stick, Vanilla Bean
- Cherry Bourbon - Bourbon, Dried Sour Cherries
- Sesame Honey Vodka - Vodka, Toasted Sesame Seeds, Honey
Now I wait. Estimated times of arrival: a few days to a month but most in time for some inauguration cocktails.
* High-end Bourbons or other spirits were neither used nor harmed in this experiment, but they were consumed.
