A long overdue post about a work for me/vacation for her week in the Eternal City that included:
- more delicious meals and wines than I can remember
- gorgeous weather
- stunningly beautiful art and architecture
- a crooked taxi driver and a very rude restaurant
- the best pizza I've ever had
- the time portal that is the Basilica di San Clemente
- a beautiful room in which my meeting was held
- a bout of strep throat complete with a first-time-I-can-remember doctor's hotel call
- the Vatican Museum and the Sistine Chapel, and
- gelato, ohhhh the gelato! chocolate/tobacco anyone?
