Fascinating: Green Wineries

It seems as though I've been posting quite a bit about wine lately. Of well, c'est la vie

This is a case of giving credit where credit is due. Treehugger.com (I guess the focus of their website is pretty clear) identified the five "greenest wineries in the world". Fortunately, three of the greenest wineries are located in Northern California, including Navarro Vineyards, one of our personal favorites, which makes delicious Pinot, Gewürztraminer and Edelzwicker.

1. Stratus Winery, Niagara, Ontario Canada: First LEED-Certified Winery in North America
2.
Parducci Wine Cellars, Mendocino, California, U.S.A.: 100% Carbon-Neutral
3. Navarro Vineyards, Philo, California, U.S.A.: Sheepishly Green
4.
Rodney Strong Vineyards, Healdsburg, California, U.S.A: Powered by Solar Energy
5.
Chateau Val Joanis, Provence, France
