Occasionally, I have discussions with people about racism in the US and every now and then someone I am talking with has the view that racism doesn't exist in the US any longer or that it is so minor that it's a nonfactor.That would be certainly be great, if only it were true.
I hesitated about writing the post, in fact I slept on it, in part because Obama has intentionally chosen to not make race a part of this campaign but also because I don't like posting negative things on my blog. Nonetheless, after a good nights sleep I decided that this is something that should be highlighted so everyone knows the vile depths to which some Repuglicans will sink.
The October newsletter by the Chaffey Community (that would be California) Republican Women says if Obama is elected his image will appear on food stamps -- instead of dollar bills like other presidents. You can read the entire article here but the picture of Obama in their newsletter is worth a thousand words, although one word is sufficient for me...disgusting.
