Looks like high gas prices and the slowing economy are having a positive impact on global carbon emissions.From the Climate Progress blog....
Lost in all the news about the financial meltdown and the election is the report that Americans drove 3.6 percent less, or 9.6 billion miles fewer (or 3.6%), in July 2008 than July 2007. The decline is the largest since the data has been kept going back to 1983.(click the graph to enlarge)
