Trust

A couple of years ago I spent a few days around Thanksgiving in Mendocino, CA. The morning we were to leave Mendocino I went for a walk through town and came across a man who was selling his hand-made ceramic vases and other pieces in his front yard. His artwork was beautifully arranged in his yard yet no one was there to assist with a purchase, only this hand written sign...


Whenever I come across the ugly side of Americans, I take comfort in knowing that there are many people in this country for whom trust and respect is central to who they are.
