For years now independent books stores have been under assault by the Borders and Barnes & Nobles of the world.
Now even the mega bookstores are facing a three-pronged attack, on one side are the usual suspects of Costco, Walmart and Tar-jay, on another a new Netflix-esque book subscription start-up called Bookswim, and on the third front, the economy.
