I came across an audio story about real life pirates on NPR earlier this week. For a couple of reasons, one being not wanting to glorify crime, I decided to not post the audio.
Tonight, I serendipitously stumbled upon a video story on Current.com about real life pirates so two times in a few days on a rather obscure topic gets me to this post.
From Current.com here is a fairly long (25 minutes or so) look at pirates that operate in the Strait of Malacca between Malaysia and Indonesia. The most interesting portion starts around the 10 minute mark.
From NPR's Marketplace, here is a more in-depth audio story about a pirate who also operates in the Strait of Malacca. You can also see related photos by clicking here.
