It's a Small World

I've never seen anything like this...simply amazing! (thanks ACN).

Willard Wigan can't read or write due to dyslexia that was undiagnosed as a child, yet he can turn a spec of dust into art. His sculptures are so small that he even thought he may have accidentally inhaled his Alice in Wonderland piece.

He works in total solitude at night when there is less static electricity to interfere with the immeasurable precision and tolerances required to create the pieces. When working on this scale he slows his heartbeat and his breathing dramatically through meditation. He then sculpts or paints between heartbeats for total stillness of hand.

In 2007, his life's work was sold to an art collector for $20 million.
