Where does it end?

First the crisis formerly known as subprime (now it's just a plain old crisis) knocked $40 trillion (yes, that's with a "t") off the world's stock exchanges, then Madoff made off with charity money, then organic farmers were hoodwinked by synthetic fertilizer pushers, now it's the Rosenblats that have bamboozled us!

The Rosen-who?

Way back in October I posted a little gem called "Soul Mates" which was about a couple that met as kids at a Nazi concentration camp. A few apples were involved, a blind date many years later and then ta-da wedding bells.

Well lo and behold...the stinking rotten bastards, aka the Rosenblats, were lying!

Rosenblat, 79, has been married to the former Roma Radzicky for 50 years, since meeting her on a blind date in New York. In a statement issued Saturday through his agent, he described himself as an advocate of love and tolerance who falsified his past to better spread his message.

"I wanted to bring happiness to people," said Rosenblat, who now lives in the Miami area. "I brought hope to a lot of people. My motivation was to make good in this world."

Yeah, right.

He lied about a concentration camp for a book deal and face time on Oprah...his motivation was to get paid.
