Oysters and Friends

Last night as I was drifting around the net, I came across a headline on MSNBC's site entitled "World's Top Oyster Bars". Being a HUGE fan of the bivalve I immediately clicked through.

Much to my surprise the World's Top Oyster Bars, as identified by Travel and Leisure, includes two oyster bars we go to whenever we get a chance, The Marshall Store and Tomales Bay Oyster Company, both of which are owned by a good friend.

So if you're ever in Northern Cali and want to have a completely relaxing day here's the perfect recipe:
  1. Skip the crowds in SF and the hustle in Napa.
  2. Take a beautiful drive out to Tomales Bay.
  3. Grab some BBQ'd or raw oysters at the Marshall Store or grill our own at TBOC.
  4. Kick back, savor the delicious locally cultivated oysters, and enjoy the scenery.
  5. If it's not foggy (which it probably won't be) stick around for the gorgeous sunset over the bay.
These two places are pearls and I think they are the best oyster bars in the world!

Just so you know what you're in store for, here are a few pics from past visits to the Marshall Store and Tomales Bay Oyster Company...
