Maira Kalman

I came across Maira Kalman's work for the New York Times several months ago. Her series which is about American democracy is entitled "And the Pursuit of Happiness." It's hard to describe other than to say it is beautifully illustrated history lessons with a dose of commentary and a dash of stream of consciousness.

However defined, it's definitely worth checking out.
