Whenever I fly to Asia I keep my fingers crossed for a cloudless day so that I can gaze at one of the most beautiful sights I've ever seen, the snow covered mountain peaks in Alaska. Luck was with me for about 30 minutes yesterday and the scenery from my airborne hotel window, a little west of Anchorage, was gorgeous.
It was a very long flight from Lima (33 hours door-to-door) but I flew Continental for the first time and the service is much better than United. I even got to watch two of my favorite movies...Casablanca and Pulp Fiction.
