I love days like today.
Stuck inside while outside a gorgeous record setting snowfall for December continues to pile up...at least going back to 1870 when records were first kept. I feel like I'm working off a clean slate, no plans and no pressures to go anywhere or do anything; it's the ultimate in a relaxing weekend day. Which means ample time to freely surf the net and the TV.
I turned on the TV this afternoon and immediately came across an intriguing documentary on PBS about Peter, Paul and Mary, a group I had previously known nothing about but whom I now much admire.
A little while later, Rick Bayless is showing how to make a delicious squash blossom and serrano ham quesadilla.
This evening, we stumbled across and watched for the second time Slumdog Millionaire.
So here for my wife whom I'd love to be snowbound with anyday is a song by Peter, Paul and Mary that made me think of her....
