I've been wanting to make sourdough bread for over a year but was never had a enough time and flexibility to do it. Since the yeast for sourdough come naturally from the air as opposed to being store bought, the process to make the starter can take anywhere from 7-10 days to make and requires daily attention.

Finally. this past week I got my chance.

It didn't have the strong sourdough taste that I'm used to but they say the flavor develops and strengthens over time as the sourdough "mother" ages. Hopefully momma ages quickly!
