Labor Day's Labor
In addition to watching a gorgeous sunrise, getting up at the crack of dawn has other advantages. After a few hours of wading in the creek, the crab haul for Labor Day dinner was close to 40 and topped out at over 50 by the end of the day.
Not a bad day's work but it came with a minor cost thanks to a snappy crab who clamped his crusher claw shut on my finger. I can't say that I blame him given his pending fate. He got me good and at 90 pounds per square inch of pressure there was only one way to end the "Labor pain", snap the claw off and pry it open.
Dinner was good.
