StoryCorps, one of my favorite segments on NPR, has designated next Friday, November 26th, National Day of Listening. StoryCorps is encouraging everyone to celebrate the day by recording and preserving interviews with the people you care about.
It's a fantastic idea and I wish I had done this with my Mom and Dad as I would have treasured those interviews forever.

Thanks for the suggestion. I actually have a list of good questions from a magazine that I'd planned to ask my mother, and had forgotten about it.
