A Dark Day

A Congressional hearing begins today that echoes back to some of the darkest periods in the U.S. during the past century: the House Un-American Activities Committee and the internment of Japanese Americans.

This hearing isn't about security.

It is about fear.
It is about wedge politics.
It is about xenophobia.
It is about racism.

At its core this hearing is an attack on and demonization of Americans.

Today is another dark day in U.S. history.
