My new favorite snack: homemade kale chips.
They're tastier than potato chips, tortilla chips, pretzels, and cheetos...ok, maybe not cheetos but they're healthier and extremely easy to make. (thx MMN)
From the best cook I know...
Dry the kale well after washing (salad spinner then pat dry) and be judicious with the olive oil, it doesn't need much (less than a tablespoon for one bunch of kale). Spend a good minute or two tossing in a big bowl with your hands to thoroughly coat the leaves with the oil.
Sprinkle with nutritional yeast (or whatever spices you like) and salt & pepper and spread out on baking sheets lined with parchment paper and bake for 20-25 min at 300. 10-15 min at 350 works too. But keep an eye on it because you want the kale completely crispy but still green, not browned which could be bitter.
