I'm not a fan of monarchies by any stretch of the imagination but it's hard to top the pagentry and at times ridiculous commentary of a once in a blue moon royal wedding.
I remember sitting on the floor in my mom's room early one morning almost 30 years ago watching Charles and Diana's wedding with her. It was just as much a spectacle then as is William and Kate's wedding today. One striking difference, is that then the images flowed through a small-ish TV and now I'm watching it streamed live over the net on The Royal Channel on YouTube.
Some things barely change, others change a lot.
