U2.360.6.7.11

"Thank-you for your patience," Bono said. "Some of you were two years younger when you bought those tickets."
Indeed.

After almost a two year wait due to a back injury by Bono that postponed last year's performance) U2 was finally onstage Tuesday evening in Overstock.com Coliseum (what a ridiculous name...it'll always be Oakland Coliseum to me).

Opening for the former high school band from Dublin was Lenny Kravitz who sounded great and reminded me to go back and revisit his old CDs.

Then the U2 spectacle began and what an amazing performance it was.

A spectacular concert shared with fantastic friends under a rain free Oakland sky...a beautiful day and a beautiful night.

P.S. More vids from the show are here. For folks on the East coast U2 is playing Baltimore on 6/22 and Philly on 7/14...plenty of tickets are still available. Hmmm.
