Flipping Out

I'm about 24 hours into the iPad 2 world - better late that never. So far it lives up to its reputation and delivers what I expected, a clean and intuitive interface or to put it another way I have yet to crack open the manual, if there is one.

There are two things that have wowed me so far:

1) Facetime. Although it has limitations (WiFi on the iPhone and iPad only) the Jetsons have arrived.

2) Flipboard. This free content aggregation app in conjunction with Read It Later almost singlehandedly justifies the cost of the iPad. It can turn FB, blogs or any other content into a perfectly laid out magazine.

The main weak spot is the Safari web browser which lacks a lot of functionality available in the computer version, i.e. syncing bookmarks, tabs, seamless Blogger integration, etc. Other than that everything else is pretty solid.

Time to play some more.

Update: I was half joking but there actually is no manual...that's a first.
