Stagecoach Mary

I'm sure "Stagecoach" Mary would have none of the recent talk about doing away with the USPS.  She was clealy an impressive person on several different levels.

From History Net...
"Stagecoach" Mary Fields was born into slavery in March 1832 in Tennessee and moved to Montana following the Civil War.  Fields was the second woman and first African American to manage a mail route for the postal service.  She also owned several businesses in Cascade County Montana. Fields was extremely popular in Virginia City, Montana, so much so, that by order of the mayor, she was the only woman of reputable character in Cascade allowed to drink in the local bar.
More on Ms. Fields is here.
