Today's Flavor: Miso Brown Sugar
Going in I had my doubts that miso flavored ice cream would taste good.
I got that one wrong.
The star of the dessert is the umami taste from the deliciously delicate miso my wife and mother-in-law made earlier this year. The taste is difficult to describe, somewhat like a sweet and creamy miso soup but that doesn't come close to doing it justice.
Miso is probably not an ice cream flavor that would be high up on the list of most folks but it is on mine.
