Wow: Barack Obama's Nomination Speech

Tonight, on August 28, 2008, the forty-fifth anniversary of Martin Luther King's "I Have a Dream" speech, Barack Obama accepted the Democratic Party's nomination for President of the United States.

We are truly smack dab in the middle of witnessing history and what a history it is.

This past spring Michelle Obama got a lot of flack for a statement that I'm going to wholeheartedly echo: For the first time in my adult life I am really proud of my country.

The nomination brings Obama one step closer to the White House but to get him into the Oval Office he needs help from you and me. You can be certain that McCain and the GOP will continue their personal smears because they are coming from a position of weakness on what is most important -- the issues.

To counter the attacks and get Obama's positions heard loud and clear I ask you to consider making a contribution to the Obama campaign by clicking on the Obama thermometer to the right. Any contribution, small (even $5) or large will help bring change we need come November.

this is the most important time in our history - contribute and then do it again. I am sure each and every reader spends at least $40 - $50 on lunch each week alone. Brown bag it and help make America whole again.
Give and pass this along to your co-workers, friends and even those that you don't like.
Contribute and VOTE and VOTE again if you can. Do not let them back in open the doors to the white house for a CHANGE.
