I just finished watching Obama's 30 minute nationally televised prime-time show/infomercial/campaign event...not quite not sure what to call it.
Leading up to it there was a lot of chatter about how big of a gamble Obama was taking because he ran the risk of turning people off if the show appeared too grandiose (the celebrity BS again). That was the same old crap people were saying before his acceptance speech. And just like his acceptance speech he knocked this one out of the park...won't they ever learn, tsk tsk.
I thought it was very well done, especially the transition at the end from the taped portion to Obama's live speech in Florida.
Politically it was a savvy move. The Obama campaign figured out the obvious: when people take time to listen, his popularity increases. Watch for his leads in the national and state level polls to expand over the next few days, just as they increased after his speech following the Iowa primary, the Wright race speech, his nomination speech, and after each debate.
If you didn't see the Obama-show let me know and I'll post it.
Only 6 days to go!
