Design Out of Reach

The web is filled with sites focused on design...interior design, product design, architecture, you name it.  A lot of it is very cool stuff; however, the problem is that most of the designs are just that...designs.

You can't go out and purchase the product or see the building because it's purely a concept.  This can be a little frustrating so I typically don't post about interesting designs I come across.

With that said, here are four product designs I've seen over the past several months that I found particularly eye-catching and novel...

Vivien Muller’s sleek PhotoSynthese charger that resembles a potted bonsai tree.
The iYo Induction Power Charger, designed by Peter Huvander, is a yo-yo
that utilizes magnetic induction to generate and store energy as it spins.
Give it a few whirls, and then simply plug in your iphone for a charge.
Designer Yu-Chiao Wang has come up with the idea of a Sun Tattoo,
a 'wearable' cloth stencil. It requires staying long enough
in the sun to leave a ran on the unexposed parts.

Another from Designer Yu-Chiao Wang. Cords are always ugly and ignored.
Add something to it and let it become a scene in the house.
