I love a good pork chop every now and then, pork sausage, pork loin and don't get me started on bacon. So in addition to my concerns about the health impact of Swine Flu, my heart sank a bit at the prospect that eating pork might be a transmission mechanism.
But fear not.
From the CDC...
Swine influenza viruses are not spread by food. You cannot get swine influenza from eating pork or pork products. Eating properly handled and cooked pork products is safe.Since we're on the topic of Swine Flu, why is it that the Republicans seem to be continuously on the wrong side of issues, first it was Bobby Jindal criticizing the Democrats and Obama for wanting to spend $100 million for volcano monitoring. This was promptly followed by an eruption of a volcano in Alaksa. Now comes word of Susan Collins (R-ME) stripping $870 million out of the Economic Recovery Package.
For what?
Flu pandemic preparation!
