After a 620 mile semi-serendipitous journey through the Loire and Bourgogne regions of France, a few initial lasting thoughts and memories...
- Bright yellow fields of mustard as far as the eye can see
- Don't ever let anyone tell you French people are not friendly
- Marquis and marchioness for a night
- I'm done with sauces for awhile
- White cows
- Very good roads and highways
- GPS is the best thing since sliced bread
- Beautiful pastoral countryside
- Incredible farmers markets
- Idyllic tiny town after tiny town along the way
- The start of the Seine
- Escargot, steak tartare, Berthillon glace, and ahhh the pigeon...so good
- Goat and pea creme brulee...not so good
- Delicious wine, cheese and bread, of course
- Time to diet
