R.I.P. David Mills

It's an odd feeling to mourn the death of someone I never met, spoke to, nor even exchanged an email with.  But the sudden passing of David Mills, journalist, Emmy award winning screenwriter (The Wire, The Corner and Treme), blogger extraordinaire (Undercover Black Man), music lover, ultimate fan of P-Funk, DC native, and a seemingly all around good guy has saddened me deeply.  He clearly touched the lives of many, mine included, and was, in part, an inspiration for me to start this blog. 

Even though we never met, at some level I feel like I knew David and I really liked who he was. The loss of David's creativity, honesty, insights and wit are a loss to this world.* 

Rest in peace David, you will be missed.
