The Big Band

For my DC friends and lovers of Jazz, Bohemian Caverns on a Monday evening is a must. About a month ago, the Caverns started featuring a big band every Monday. Tonight was the first time we went but definitely not the last.

Although, the Caverns is showing its age (84 years old) it remains a great venue for live jazz, the music was fantastic, the crowd very nice, and to top it off there was the "world premiere" of a song written by a 20-something guy sitting in the audience who every 30 seconds, while the band was playing his piece, glanced over at his girlfriend to check out her reaction...it was classic.

If you're in DC on a Monday evening, GO, you won't regret it.
