Honey Bourbon Goat Milk Ice Cream
We ordered raw goat milk from our CSA thinking that I'd make a simple and distinctively flavored goat milk ice cream.
The goat milk is very good. It's creamy, fresh, better nutritionally and easier to digest than cow's milk, and beats any milk you'd buy in the grocery store but the taste isn't very different (if at all) from fresh cow's milk.
So thanks to my wife's brilliant idea, out came the Basil Hayden and what was supposed to be a distinctive tasting Honey Goat Milk ice cream became a delicious Honey Bourbon Goat Milk ice cream.
Here's the recipe, sans the 3 tablespoons of bourbon.
