North Korea, Obesity & a Dim Bulb

As much as I try to stay away from the battiness spewing forth from the mom of a current Dancing with the Stars finalist (how crazy is that?) some things scream their lungs out for attention.

From the LA Times...

Beck: How would you handle a situation like the one that just developed in North Korea? [...]

Palin: But obviously, we’ve got to stand with our North Korean allies. We’re bound to by treaty –-

Beck: South Korean.

Palin: Eh, Yeah. And we’re also bound by prudence to stand with our South Korean allies, yes.

One more for the road. from HuffPo...
Take [Michelle Obama's] anti-obesity thing that she is on. She is on this kick, right. What she is telling us is she cannot trust parents to make decisions for their own children, for their own families in what we should eat. And I know I'm going to be again criticized for bringing this up, but instead of a government thinking that they need to take over and make decisions for us according to some politician or politician's wife priorities, just leave us alone, get off our back, and allow us as individuals to exercise our own God-given rights to make our own decisions and then our country gets back on the right track.

Translation: Damnit, we'll stand firm with our North Korean allies as we fight for our God-given right to feed our children Big Gulps and Crispy Kreme Bacon Cheeseburgers.

How on earth can I take this woman seriously but more importantly how can I take anyone seriously who takes her seriously?

I'm crossing my eyes, fingers, and toes that she's the Republican nominee in '12. Bring her on.
