Crazy: Palin, a Tanning Bed & the Sun Scare Industry...Oh My!

When I started this blog I had no intention of focusing on politics so much but come on now, when a waiter with white gloves strolls around serving up little gems like this on a silver platter how on earth can I let them pass me bye...
On the campaign trail, Sarah Palin likes to brag about how she put the Alaska state jet on eBay and fired the governor's personal chef. One item that doesn't appear in her stump speech, however, is the personal tanning bed (which can cost as much as $35,000) Palin had installed in the governor's mansion.

The last thing I'd do is begrudge someone for trying to get some color but a tanning bed certainly doesn't fit into the cost-conscious, blue-collar, small town...uhh maybe I should just say redneck persona that McSame is trying to spin.

I guess Pale-in just didn't want to be pale anymore.

Update: The Tanning Industry Association weighs in via a press release...
"While partisan bloggers and the sun scare industry will use this as an opportunity to undermine Gov. Palin and demonize the indoor tanning industry, the fact is that Governor Palin’s decision to get UV light from a tanning bed positively impacts her health.

Kudos to Governor Palin for standing up to dermatologists and other members of the sun scare industry who are trying to frighten Americans away from UV light.
"
Uh ok.

If you're so inclined read more about the "sun scare industry" (who knew?) by clicking here.

Well I love to tan so I will say that this is about the only good thing I have read about this crazy women. However, I think it is a bit of an extreme purchase.
Furthermore, when does she use it? She looks like ghost. Perhaps she could sell to Cindy McSame she could use it as well and Cindy can afford it.
